Ayesha Curry’s infamous rage-fueled tweet that “the NBA is rigged”–after her husband Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors lost in Game 6 of the Finals–didn’t sit well with Shaq’s ex-wife, Shaunie O’Neil.

Shaunie, who is the executive producer of the reality show “Basketball Wives,” explained that the comment was not only plain stupid but also dumb and reckless.

“I feel like that job that her husband has supports a whole lot of people, and to say his job is rigged is sacrificing a whole lot of folks and their livelihood,” Shaunie explained.

“Was it rigged when your husband was winning or was it just rigged when he was losing? ‘Cause the tweet only came when he lost. So I just want to know was it rigged?” she added.

O’Neil said she was not trying to be mean but just keeping things real.

Serena Williams Snaps After Olympic Committee Member Refers To Her As A Man

Serena Williams Snaps After Olympic Committee Member Refers To Her As A Man

Serena Williams is not thrilled about a reporter highlighting her and her sister Venus’ rather masculine features after a recent interview on Russian television last Friday.

The issue started when the host told International Olympic Committee member and president of the Russian Tennis Federation Shamil Tarpishchev, “I was at the Olympics, where Maria Sharapova was in the final, playing with one, with one of the…” and Tarpishchev completed the sentence by saying the “Williams brothers.”

“I thought they were very insensitive and extremely sexist as well as racist at the same time,” Williams responded at a news conference Sunday in Singapore, where she will be playing for the season-ending WTA Finals tournament.  ”I thought they were in a way bullying.”

Serena wasn’t the only one who wasn’t thrilled about Tarpishchev’s comments. According to The Guardian, he was fined $25,000 and suspended for a year by the WTA. WTA chief executive Stacy Allaster said Tarpishchev’s comments were “insulting, demeaning and have absolutely no place on our sport.”

Sharapova also defended her fellow tennis star, saying, “I think [the comments] were very disrespectful and uncalled for, and I’m glad that many people have stood up, including the WTA.”

Tarpishchev has since made an apology for his reckless comments, but the damage has been made. Williams said, “I’ve done the best that I can do, and that’s all I can say. So I just wasn’t very happy with his comments.”
