CM Punk Confirmed To Appear In “UFC 2”

We know you’ve already heard that WWE Champion Phil “CM Punk” Brooks would be fighting for the UFC in 2016, but it seems we would be seeing him in a video game first.

According to EA, Books would be starring as a playable fighter in their upcoming game, “UFC 2,” the sequel to their own branded “UFC” game. But the question of his strengths and weaknesses remain considering he has never fought in the octagon before, unlike other fighters Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey (one of the featured fighters on the game’s cover) who have obviously showed off their fighting capacities.

Then again, Brooks’ involvement is bound to rake in money from MMA fans, which is probably what EA and UFC are hoping for.

“UFC 2” is expected to be tentatively released in the spring of 2016—soon before or after he’ll finally be setting foot in the real octagon.

Tito Ortiz Compliments Rival Dana White For Signing CM Punk To Join UFC

Tito Ortiz Compliments Rival Dana White For Signing CM Punk To Join UFC

Tito Ortiz interview with TMZ Sports

You may remember that former wrestling champ CM Punk was recently fired (and on his wedding day, no less) by WWE’s Vince McMahon. Well, CM Punk wasn’t unemployed for long after he was signed by UFC head Dana White—a decision that Jacob Christopher “Tito” Ortiz actually thinks was a good idea.

The odd thing, fans would know, is the fact that 39-year-old Ortiz is praising White’s decision, despite the fact that they’ve been feuding for years and almost got to face each other in the ring back in 2007.

“They’re making money,” Ortiz told TMZ Sports about the decision that will reportedly benefit the UFC. “It’s great for them.”

Vince McMahon Apologizes To CM Punk For Firing Him On His Wedding Day

Vince McMahon Apologizes To CM Punk For Firing Him On His Wedding Day

It’s nothing personal, according to the World Wrestling Entertainment’s Vince McMahon.

Following former wrestler CM Punk’s controversial podcast interview last week, where he blasted the WWE for how he was treated during his time with them, the WWE chairman-slash-CEO is now apologizing firing CM Punk on his wedding day.

“I would like to apologize,” McMahon said on the Steve Austin Show on the WWE Network earlier this week. “Sometimes in a big corporation, the legal people don’t necessarily know what talent relations are doing and conversely and Punk got his severance papers on the day he got married. And that was a coincidence. So, I want to personally apologize for that.”

It seems McMahon is trying to kill any fires, considering CM Punk’s wife AJ Lee is still a part of the active roster. Besides, McMahon would still like to work with the former wrestler, if the opportunity offered itself.

“Other than that, the only thing I want to say about Punk is there have been a number of individuals in the past that have been disgruntled, said a lot of things about the organization and I’m not going to wash the dirty laundry in public. I don’t think there’s any reason for that. I think there are a lot of things he may say that he may regret one day in terms of looking back at it. But nonetheless, I hope that one day we will be able to get back together again.”

Do you think CM Punk will accept the apology?
