Ronda Rousey Not Returning To The Octagon This 2016?

It’s been a while since Ronda Rousey was seen at a UFC match, and it looks like she won’t be returning anytime soon despite previous rumors.

During her appearance on the UFC Unfiltered podcast, UFC president Dana White confirmed that the former bantamweight champion will not be seen in action in the highly anticipated UFC 205 fight, which will happen in New York City on November 12.

She’s definitely not fighting in New York. I’m actually going to start building the New York card this week,” White said.

The last time the UFC star fought was in the UFC 193, which was in November last year; it was the match where she relinquished the bantamweight championship to Holly Holms after being brutally knocked out, which also happens to be her first UFC loss.

This New York fight is a historic event for the UFC since the state had banned an MMA fight in 1997, and even though this is a celebrated event, and may be the right time for her return, Rousey made a pass.

Despite her being M.I.A since the said event, White said that although nothing is planned yet, the discussion for Rousey’s return is on going and there is still a chance to see her back at the Octagon before this year ends.

There are still hope to see her fight at UFC 206 in Toronto on Dec. 10 or UFC 207 on Dec. 30 in Las Vegas.
